Hari ni aku nak kongsi beberapa posting berkenaan kesan virus nih.
Antaranya :

Virus Alert : Conficker Worm

2 hari lepas aku terbaca artikel dalam paper pasal Worm. Mayb baru kot. Nama die Conficker. Nama lain bagi worm ni Downadup. Lebih kurang 9 juta pc dh kena ngn worm ni. Di anggarkan die berjangkit pada kadar 1 juta pc dlm masa 1 hari. Power jgk worm ni boleh wat camtu. Hehehe...tabik silang la sape yg buat mende alah nih. So far it risk only low to home user n corporate user. Tp kn...kalau dah worm ni mmg menyusahkan. X kire la low ke high ke medium ke. Worm tetap worm. Xkan nk bazirkan ruang dlm hard disk kite kasi kt die utk beranak. Wugi woo + menyusahkan.

Aku bercadang nak memilik at least 3 dekstop n 1 laptop/notebook tahun ni. Insya Allah kalau rezeki murah. Yg sekarang ni baru ade 1 jer dekstop. Yg ni aku guna Windows XP. Nape aku nak at least 3 desktop? Psl setiap dekstop tu aku nak guna OS yg berlainan. Aku nye specs :

• 1 dekstop guna Fedora Core - Yg ni guna processor AMD medium ye specs. Kalau modal lebih xpe la nak guna AMD yg power pon. Untuk dekstop ni semua nye LINUX.


• 1 dekstop guna Windows Server 2003 - Yg ni utk wat server sendiri jer. Lebih kepada Data Centralized. Selain tu nak wat yg ni sebagai backp data utk 2 lg dekstop kat atas tu. Processor ape tu masih lg dlm pertimbangan. Tp buat masa sekarang Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo la. Yg pasti nye harddisk die mau dlm 500GB (GigaByte) or 1TB(TeraByte).
  


• 1 Laptop/Notebook - Yang ni khas untuk tujuan keje n research pasal OS (Operating System). OS untuk laptop ni mest Windows Vista.

Semua ni dengan anggaran kasar bawah dr RM10K. Kalau dapat lg kurang dari tu ok jgk. Ape2 pun semua tu masih dalam Fasa Perancangan lg. Dah ade keje yg maintain baru boleh masuk Fasa Pelaksanaan. Harap² semua tu berjalan lancar. Amin....

Boring² duduk saje ni aku merajinkan diri untuk cari info pasal Top 10 Antivirus untuk tahun 2008. Kali ni terjumpa 1 website yg buat ranking nih. Berkemungkinan besar ranking yg die buat ni boleh diterima. Kalau aku sendiri nak test satu² mmg xde nye. Mane mau cari modal nak beli satu² antivirus tu. Kalau nak lebih syok....1 antivirus untuk 1 komputer. Senang la nak wat comparison. Ni kire aku cedok dari web org laen yer. Check la list kat bawah nih :

2. CA anti-virus software. CA anti-virus software has such a nice, clean interface with what seems to be a very high “install and forget rating”. There is no overload of information and choices on the interface which is good. Clean and simple, the way anti-virus software should be! CA Anti-virus’s main software component runs at less than 13mb RAM which is pretty light and my overall system scan was pretty fast.

Moreover, the program scans outgoing and incoming email in real-time, does a great job of shielding your registry against probable hijackers and controls which programs startup automatically. F-Secure has a news section that can be used to sign up for virus alerts and updates of what is going on in the virus world.

Rumusan aku :

• Antivirus kegemaran aku (Kaspersky) rank 5. Cedih2... Aku memang suke benor ngan antivirus nih. Aku dah 3 tahun lebih pakai. So far xde masalah dari segi loading/background process die. Pc aku pun x berat.
• Ranking antivirus x tetap sangat sebenarnye. Ada masa naik ade masa turun. Nasihat aku guna antivirus yg x membebankan pc korang. Nanti xde la lag or pc lembab.
• Elemen asas untuk keselamatan komputer korang ade 3 jerk. Ini ikut pengalaman aku la. Ape yg perlu ade dalam pc korang ialah antivirus...firewall...spyware/adware remover. Yg ni pun di kira agak memadai la. Sesuai untuk home user.
• Lagi 1 perkara penting...sentiasa la update antivirus korang. Kalau x update x menjadi jgk antivirus tuh.
  

Check Your DirectX Version

Untuk kali ni aku nak bgtau camne nak guna check korang nyer DirectX version. Sebelum tu sedikit pengenalan kepada DirectX nih.

Kebanyakkan game yg ade sekarang ni memerlukan at least version 9.0c. Bagi yg menggunakan Window Vista...die guna DirectX Version 10. Sebab tu la Vista perlukan at least 512MB RAM. Tp bg aku memang x cukup la. Mau dalam 1GB baru la smooth nk loading Vista.

Rujuk Table kat bawah ni untuk semak Version Number ngan DirectX Version.

Okeh...sekarang kite p check version DirectX yg ade dalam pc kite.

#Langkah 1 :
- Klik Start>Run

- Taipkan "dxdiag" dalam kotak tuh. Jangan masuk skali ngan tanda "" dah ler.

- Tunggu die loading japs. Then baru la korang tau version nye. Rujuk pic yang aku sertakan skali kat bawah neh.

Well...thats it. Itu jer step untuk check DirectX version.

Check Background Running Application

Kali ni nak tunjuk cara camne nak tau program ape yg running kt blakang pc korang. Program2 ni termasuk la program yg korang tengah bukak mase nih. Ikut step kat bawah ni.

# Langkah 1

- Klik kanan atas taskbar kt bawah pc korang tuh. Pastu akan kuar pic yg macam kat bawah nih.

- Klik Task Manager. Kalau nak cepat tekan butang "Alt + Ctrl + Delete" kat keyboard skaligus. Nanti akan kuar picture cam kat bawah nih.

- Klik bar Processes. Sekarang korang akan nampak program ape yg running kt background. Suggestion aku...maximum background process x lebih dari 50. Yang aku nyer ni 45 pasal aku ade bukak byk program time nih.

# Langkah 2

- Salah 1 cara yg aku guna untuk kurangkan running program. Aku guna cara msconfig. Mula² klik Start>Run. Rujuk gambar kt bawah nih.

- Then taip msconfig dalam box yg akan kuar nanti.

- Then klik ok. Pastu akan kuar lagi box. Yang ni yang penting dalam proses nih.

- Dalam tu banyak proses yg di tick. So...korang untick or uncheck dlm box sebelah kanan tu untuk program yg korang x nak running kt background. Selain daripada tu...tujuan yg ni untuk kurangkan program yg autorun masa korang bukak or sedang guna pc.

- Dah settle nanti..korang click apply then ok. Nanti die tanye la nak restart pc ke x. Suggestion aku...restart la pc. Lepas pc restart...akan kuar box tanye ape ntah. Aku x hingat daa... Yg aku tau nyer...aku tick/check kn box die tuh. Lepas tu x kuar la lepas kite restart/shutdown pc tu nanti.

Itu jer la kot. Nanti aku bgtau la cara nak kasi ringan sikit pc dengan cara godek performance pc. Lain kali la yer....

Godek² Firefox

Meh kite godek2 firefox untuk kasi die loading n surfing laju sket.

1. Taip "about:config" kat address bar or url die. Cam dalam gambar kat bawah nih. Lepas tu scroll down n cari entries nih :

network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

2. Ubah entries seperti berikut:

Ubah "network.http.pipelining" kepada "true"

Ubah "network.http.proxy.pipelining" kepada "true"

Ubah "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" kepada 30 keatas (aku nye wat 100..hehehe).

3. Lastly right-click kat mane2 dlm tu dan pilih New-> Integer. Masukkan nama ni "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" set kan value kepada "0".

Thats it. E2 jer. Kalau korang guna broadband...die akan loading 2-30 kali lebih laju.
